I know you can have a set of equipment for each job but like... if you already completed all the quests in an area, are you limited to the Job-specific quests and grinding monsters to level up? Healer and tank can just spam dungeons and do daily dungeon roulettes for bonus. Dps can do FATEs while queuing for dungeons. Fates are like repeatable timed open world quests that you can find in all maps with monsters pretty much. Then there are for each class hunting log you can do once up to lvl 50 that gives bit bonus XP. Then weekly challenge log. You do run a lot of dungeons and trials (instanced boss fight), but imo this game's strong point is the boss battles, they are usually fun and starts like that early levels and just ramps it up. This is one of the few mmo games I recommend going in blind for everything, maybe not as a healer or tank. When you are new, you get a sprout icon beside you so they know you are new, besides it's the ppl with Mentor icon that you gotta watch out for, they are usually bad at the game for some reason. For new content, just say you are new and ppl will explain essentials. In my opinion FF14 has a sense of adventure, but you kinda gotta get into it and the story and such, but this may differ for people. You need allowences, you get like 2-3 per day, max 100. You can use these which are like repeatable timed quests to level up as well. But I recomend using them for crafters and gatherers. Also there is a Deep Dungeon you can unlock at 30 I think. It's 200 floors where you always start as lvl 1, progress 10 floors at a time you meet a boss and save progress and get rewards like experience. It's also a way to level up. Youve got dungeons and roulettes to run that get you good exp. theres also beast tribes if you have them unlocked. If you have it unlocked, theres also the deep dungeon Palace of the Dead which gives you a lot of exp based on your current level. Deep dungeons are different though in that your gear and level outside dont matter, and inside the dungeon its based on your aetherpool stat which you upgrade with blue chests you find in the dungeon.
