Given that these kinds of events are probably accompanied by upticks in births -- leading to an increase in single moms -- I can kinda get the issue. And, while there's a racist connotation to part of the remarks (albeit possibly stemming more from tone deafness), it's probably worth remembering that life in Russia is going to be harder for a clearly mixed-race kid, the same as in other less-diverse nations. Bearing in mind that even in a country as diverse and accepting as the USA, there are still routine complaints regarding racism, etc. Andromicus posted...
