Hey guys, now that we have used our No Lynch on Day 6 to effectively do nothing because "it was optimum" just to get additional scan information, can we actually do something today?

Wait, what? You mean we actually didn't NL yesterday? We lynched scum and basically Town confirmed half the game? Because we aren't fucking idiots? And we were able to do this without the help of FD at all? Bananas.

Note: MI is either scum and that makes all his inno scans accurate (because he's probably the last scum so everyone is innocent) OR he's Town and his inno scans are probably untrustworthy (potential GF as last scum).

Corrik - Confirmed by Watcher (likely targeted by Crescent), abandons pushing MI to lynch scum yesterday when, without corrik's support, Donker probably lynched

Donker - probably Town by merit of CM/SE being scum. With SE voting him early and little motion on him all day, probably Town.

Panthera - Started the counterlynch for CM/SE. Doesn't move (confirmed by Shad), scans Town (confirmed by MI). Could be GF but I don't buy it based on the CM/SE lynch.

Arti - Scans Town, but also helped start the CM/SE countertrain. Town.

So scum must be in the other three (FD, MI, ColZach)

I'd personally like to start with FD

I haven't encountered Doppelganger as a role on b8 before, what is it used as traditionally here (if it even is used here ever)? From googling I see a lot of variations so it doesn't look like a very universal, standardized role. One of those variations, interestingly, is a role that gives a cop a faulty result. That's potentially a big deal. Arti, FD, I think you two have been around b8 mafia the longest of players alive (and both of you can't be scum so I can trust at least one of you), got any insight into this?

The other links I found didn't include any other mafia-aligned roles, so that one sounds most plausible...but it's clearly not a common, standard role, and if it hasn't been used on b8 before I don't want to be 100% certain we know what it is because VI could be going off a different version he heard of somewhere else.

Actually given that his role also says Detective, that could basically mean it's a scanning role that counters tracker/watcher...except Foolmo did see someone target Corrik and that almost had to be CMSE, so it can't work like that. Which makes me lean more towards it being a scanner that also has scan immunity of some sorts. Actually the name doppelganger kind of suggests it would counter a Thief, doesn't it? Imitate the target to fool flavour scans?

This is why I don't want to jump to a conclusion on it, I don't think we can say for sure what that role does.

How did Nana lead the lynch on SE? I voted SE first, and Nana was actually kind of trying to get a FD lynch going and also was voting Zach earlier, though he did make the tie breaking vote on SE in the end when he probably could have let it go to a tiebreaker or voted Donker and if ever pressed, said you convinced him not to vote SE. Donk wasn't around to vote, but if SE was godfather you know I'm town so you know the SE lynch wasn't started from a perspective of knowing Donker's alignment.

Of course, Nana seems town to me and would have had to be pulling a very odd fake vig gambit with Han. I came around on Donker yesterday too, so it being one of those two definitely feels odd to me as well. Corrik I agree is pretty well confirmed, Death's scan on him was legit and the target Foolmo saw on him almost has to be scum (again, unless the Doppelganger role messes with that somehow, but that seems unlikely given how weak Foolmo's role was anyway).

Frustrating that this really hinges on a role we don't know much about.

Agree. I definitely wouldn't say i led the SE lynch.

In the Corrik case too, he tied it up. If Corrik is scum with CMSE, they could've both just joined by FD lynch.

Yes, but I redirected off Donker no onto ColZach, not CMSE.

I think he was, yes, that part I forgot. He definitely didn't show any interest in lynching SE until being the last vote on it though, Zach was who he wanted to lynch out of the 3 unscanned people.

I'm so glad that the crescent lynch was scum, otherwise I would've been bummed, because if taht replace was town, they owuld've been a better assest than me. I though the day ended tonight, so instead of checking yesterday at like 10:30 I just pushed theough and finished a project and checked in too late.
But, like I said yesterday, I think that Forceful is most likely scum. Can you think of anything important he has done besides whine? (Yes, I know, Pot meet Kettle, but I know I am just bad town)

Might also want to not lynch FD within two hours of day beginning, I know it would be funny with how much early hammers were an issue for him earlier but I think we need to use this day to work out the possibilities. SE's role and what it means for MI's legitimacy is something that needs to be discussed. If SE was a godfather-ish role, it more or less confirms MI town and by extension, everyone he's scanned innocent since scum is unlikely to have two godfather-esque roles.

B. You lynch MI.

Doppelganger is a basically a godfather. Except it seems more tailored to a thief than a cop.

There is no other godfather this game.
