Including New Game+, which game have you replayed the most and how many times? For me it'll be Deus Ex at five times. Final Fantasy Tactics might be up there as well but I can't recall the exact number.

I played Super Mario 3 on my gba so many times that the cartridge lost the ability to save

Super Metroid. Tried going for the world record when I was younger. Don't think I ever got close but I was pretty decent. Faster than my friends by a large margin, but not good enough for the record by a large margin, too lol

More recently, Rayman Legends. Played those challenges endlessly for months.

I couldn't tell you how many times I've beaten the game (though I'm sure the count is higher than the amount of fingers and toes I have) but I do know that my nost played game can be none other than Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Sega Genesis. It takes less than an hour to beat but it never gets dull for me. It's my favorite game of all time for a reason. When it comes to the series it's a part of, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic Mania come awfully close but I'll always go back to Sonic 2 in the end.

If it's about only the ones you played and beaten over and over, then it gotta be either Crash Bandicoot Warped, Crash Team Racing, Mega Man X 8 or Star Wars Force Unleashed. But in reality, I think I played Digimon World 3 and Mega Man X6 more than those, though I only beaten them once a few years ago. The former because my first disc was damaged and I couldn't go on from a certain point, so I started over and overt again, and the later for being insanely difficult.

One of the Ratchet & Clank games, probably either Going Commando or Up Your Arsenal, both at 20+ playthroughs each. Going through them in New Game+ is quite fast once all of the weapons are fully upgraded.

I think mine might be StarFox 64 because it took me so many tries to get all those medals as a kid. Or some other short game like SMB or SMB3.

Oh God... probably Super Mario World, Super Star Wars, Street Fighter II or A Link to the Past.

Conversely, I've sunk hundreds of hours into Oblivion, Skyrim, FO3, New Vegas, and FO4, and I've never finished the main story quest in any of them.

I know for certain that I have played Fire Emblem and the Blazing Sword at least thirteen times, since the game has an in-game counter that keeps track of how many times you've cleared the game. But unfortunately, it stops at thirteen. I'm pretty sure that I've replayed the game more than thirteen times, though.

It's rare for me to replay most games twice actually. Kinda just depends on when I get that itch to replay something or when I remember some fun moment in said game and decide to re-install it.

Technically I played Mario Brothers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II the most on the NES but I never actually finished those games so didn't count those. I was only thinking of games that I replayed from start to end. With Mario Brothers and TMNT II it was more like playing from start to....50 to 70% dozens of time.

Resident Evil 4, like once on GC, 3 times on Wii and 4 times on Xbox One, only on the Xbox did I decide to do everything like getting 5 star everything in Mercenaries though.

Only other game that comes close is RE5 funny enough.

Oh, another one I played a lot was Shadow of the Colossus. Beat it multiple times on PS2 trying to get enough lizard tails to climb the tower. Same on PS3 and on PS4, plus doing time attack runs. I've played a LOT of SotC.

I still play through Legend of Zelda two to four times a year.

Modern games or early games? I probably played hundreds if not thousands of games of Pac-Man, Missile Command, etc. Of course, the games were a lot shorter back then. Though I had one game of Joust that lasted over 6 hours.

Of more modern games, I've probably played more Deus Ex than anything else. "Mess. you. up."

I've never finished it. Played it for about 80 hours, got a gold chocobo, killed a couple of the weapons (can't remember which ones, but I don't think I fought all of them), got to the part leading up to Sephiroth, save file got corrupted. Haven't touched the game since. Might play it when the remake comes out, though.

Wowza. Think I've replayed that at most three times. Once just to play through it and the second and third time to max out a vanguard to carry over into Mass Effect 2. As beefy as that vanguard was on insanity difficulty, it got tedious with the pistol build.

I'll never know for sure. Some games like Diablo and its clones maybe don't count since they're designed to be played through repeatedly. Some games maybe don't count since you can load your save at the end, beat it, and watch the ending, over and over.

I think in terms of starting a brand new game and playing all the way to the very end, these are probably the most, though some of the much much shorter games below might technically surpass them in total number of playthroughs.
