How does the rocket launcher work? Is it instant or delayed detonation? Is there splash damage on me?

The grenade launcher, you mean? It detonates when it hits something. I don't actually remember if you take splash damage or not, but I want to say you don't.

And this is the glitchy weapon someone mentioned. You could dupe ammo for it in the GC version which is really helpful because the incendiary grenades burn zombies, preventing them from reviving as Crimson Heads. They fixed that for the version you're playing though.

It's too late but I heavily implore everyone use the original controls. They work better for this game when you take the few minutes to get used to them and it kinda ruins the game when you use the new controls. I hate how poorly animated the characters look with the new controls. The game simply wasn't designed for them in mind.

And I will say playing Gamecube version on an old CRT is still the definitive way to play it. Some backgrounds look really horrible on the HD Remaster.

I'd personally play RE0. But keep in mind it's the worst of the classics. So don't get put off playing the other classic RE games if you hate RE0.

Though you could skip RE0 if you really don't like it.

I'd say 2, and then 3. Code Veronica and 0HD aren't as good as the other classic games, so you can play them whenever.

Note that 2 and 3 didn't get remakes like RE1 did so don't be alarmed by PS1 graphics.

Also, 2 has to be played twice. You'll see.

I would go with the dualshock version of 2 off of the PS3 store. 0 is indeed a prequel.
