The shocking revelation made headlines across the country just before he was considered the country's best pitcher and he was SUPPOSED to be drafted based on the scouts reactions to his amazing "pitches" for the university.. But it came to an end as he was not chosen to play in the Major Leagues after last summer when a journalist blew the whistle on his past and posted the shocking story where he was convicted of molesting his older brother's 6 y/o daughter when he was 15.. He broke his silence after initially stating he had nothing to say to tell the NYT that "i always denied anything ever happened. Even after i plead guilty, which was a decision me and my parents thought was the best option to move forward as a family. And after that, even when i was going through counseling and treatment, i maintained my innocence the whole time" The mother however said "There is no way he DIDN'T DO IT" after describing her daughter's very specific allegation and said that her daughter, who was 6 at the time said that Luke had pulled down her underwear and touched her both inside and outside of the spot she uses to go to the bathroom!! She told him to stop but he wouldn't and that it "hurt" when he kept touching her. Luke was charged with 2 counts of molestation in 2009 to 2011 as it started when she was FOUR He was offered a plea deal in which he plead guilty in return one charge was dropped but was placed as a level one sex offender for 5 years Luke claimed he plead guilty only to have this case go away "quicker" and that a lower profile trial would make it easier on his family who said trials aren't fun and hoped that this case was on the down low and wouldn't go public... Unfortunately for him, he forgot to update his location for the sex offender registry and a Journalist got wind of it and EXPOSED HIM!! Critics were calling for his head and to be kicked off the team and the victim's mother said he should NEVER be able to play again as she said her daughter's case will only go away when he is out of the spotlight. His coach said that Luke was a fine young man and deserves another chance and he BELIEVES HIM when he says he didn't do it.
