In general, calling an actor by his comic name is kind of a fucking stupid trend. Especially in this case as Benedict was well known/accomplished prior to the role.

Calling a superhero actor his superhero name is both fun and in the flavor of the story of a guy stopping a mugging. It is a cool story though.
