I see the appeal of certain aspects of religion, but you'd still have to be either less intelligent or more susceptible to brainwashing for it to actually take root seriously.

What does that mean?

Well "survival of the fittest" isnt really seen as the most altruistic thing to live by.
The most extreme form of altruism is social justice and I my assumption is most sjws are atheists and I was hopefully wanting more of them to be social darwinists so I would it would possibly balance out the crazy.
