I feel like all the youtubers I do follow are all unanimously fans of RLM. I've seen plenty of people call them one of the best things on youtube in general which I totally agree with.

I suppose it's gotta be because they don't just spam videos daily with clickbait names and thumbnails? Like why does someone like Jeremy Jahns have twice the number of followers as them other than he reviews every single thing that comes out in a quick 5 minute jump cut video where he makes a stupid punchable face? I don't even dislike Jeremy Jahns honestly, but still.

If you haven't seen their stuff before I might as well promote 'em, so here's a few samples of their stuff:

Half in the Bag
Their bread and butter. Mike & Jay review recent movies at length and hilarity ensues. Sometimes there's an ongoing plot about how they're VCR repairmen conning an elderly man, but they never take it seriously so no need to worry.

Best of the Worst
My favorite thing they put out. They watch either old crappy movies or random ass VHS tapes and just talk dive right into them in depth while deciding which one was the best and which was the worst.

Mike, Jay and Rich Evans parody the stereotypical geek culture podcast panel type bullshit that's just the worst.

It starts out with a parody for stereotypical youtube top 10 lists, but just breaks down into both losing their shit over the absurdity of info about Vader's suit on the Star Wars wiki.

Rich and Mike Talk: Disney's Han Solo Terrible Movie Ideas
Cynical predictions with Mike and Rich trying to come up with the most predictable course for how Solo would turn out.

And easily their most famous stuff are the Mr. Plinkett Reviews. I'm guessing I'm not introducing anyone to these, but they are lengthy, super in depth, comedic breakdowns of mostly awful movies with the crown jewel being the Star Wars prequels. I will say though that if you've only seen the Star Wars ones, the others are all worth watching like Titanic and Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Crystal Skull. I'd think that most of CE was aware of RLM since their popularity probably goes hand in hand with the age group here and the general type of sense of humor, but even if this introduces one person to them or gets someone to check out their other videos beyond Plinkett it'll be worth it.

I'm ok with this, at this point the people who like them know them and they aren't so universally known that I have to worry that my fandom of them would be mistaken for bandwagonning.

I think they are in a comfortable place too, I don't think they wan't more mainstream success, I think they are in a comfortable spot...

but yes they are awesome. They bring me my Juicy Shaq Meat when I am down.
