He's the star player for the Oregon State baseball team but last summer, a local newspaper dropped the bomb on him after they found out that he was convicted of molesting his older brother's neice when he was 15 years old.. It made headlines across the country asking the same question on why he was ever allowed to play after that revelation Now he's speaking out to the New York Times in which he now DENIES that crime and said "I always denied anything ever happened. Even after i plead guilty, which was a decision me and my parents thought was the best option to move forward as a family. And after that, even when i was going through counseling and treatment, i maintained my innocence the whole time".. But the mother of the victim who remains anonymous to protect her now 13 y/o daughter says "There is no way he didn't do it. the abuse was very specific" The little girl had reported the abuse to her parents, her dad being his brother, called police right away as she told investigators that Luke pulled down her underwear and touched her on both the inside and outside spot she uses to go to the bathroom. She told him to stop but he didn't and that it hurt when he touched her. He was charged with 2 counts of molestation in 2009 to 2011. He was offered a plea deal where one charge would be dropped and placed on 2 years probation with ordered classes. He was classified as a Level One sex offender for 5 years and he wrote an APOLOGY to his niece. However Luke said that if he fought it, it would have forced a longer trial and his niece to be put on the stand and he didn't want that and said he didn't want to complicate things. However he hoped that this wouldn't have gone out to the public after he failed to update his location on the sex offender registery and a local paper caught wind of it and exposed him. His critics are calling him to be removed but he's ignoring them and saying that they have their opinions of him and that the people who know him know who he really is but the victim's mother thinks she should be cut...but MLB scouts are still gunning for him. And despite the news of his molestation, he is still popular among Oregon State fans because he helps them win games.. If he was classified for 5 years and this was in 2011, shouldn't he be OFF the list by now? He served his time, don't kick him off the team.
Sounds like a young boy just didn't know how to handle his newfound sex drive. As to if he is innocent or not it doesn't matter. Its been the 5 years. His time should be done. --- Don't mess with a Bunny! ... Copied to Clipboard!
