Meh, they're not really relevant artists anymore. Yeah they died young, yeah there's history and influence but hell, there's a lot of younger rappers themselves that don't give a fuck, why would their fans necessarily care?
It's not like their music is in the modern cultural zeitgeist.

Kind of hard to be relevant when youre dead and not making anymore music. The word that matters with these two is influence. They were hugely influential in ushering in an era of rap that fully brought it into the mainstream. Argue all you want but they were both huge.

Oh and we all know Diddy had them both murdered.

Tupac. My friends were all more into him. I wasn't a big rap fan when he was alive but I was familiar with his stuff.

Biggie, I always hated puff daddy, so I hated biggie by connection. I've grown to appreciate some of his stuff since then, but not a big fan by any name. Don't own any of his albums and could only name maybe 5 songs at most.

How many rock fans you think can name a Chuck Berry song? Yeah, the time gap is much more in my example but the logic is the same.

Definitely, without a doubt, no questions asked its Tupac. Feel like a lot of people who would pick biggie either are from New York, or hate west coast rap. Theres really no logical reason to pick biggie. Pac had the better voice, better beats, a hell of a lot more songs - hell his all eyez on me album had basically the same amount of songs that biggie released total.

If they are a real fan of rock they at least know Johnny B Goode. Either way the equivalent argument would be something like Nirvana and Sublime and the influence on their respective genres while both tragically losing their lead singers. Tupac and Biggie will take far longer to fade I think. People are still making movies and tv shows about them.

Im from Texas and I love west coast rap. With that being said , biggie > Tupac by a long shot.

Biggie could rap better
Biggie can flow better
Voice is subjective
Biggie had better albums.

Tupac has nothing to rival ready to die and life after death.

biggie had good flow.

2pac was poet. It is a shame that he was killed at such a young age. I wonder how his views and outlook would have changed. I wonder if it could have stopped rappers for wearing skinny jeans.
