Notable Accolades:

The shocking collapse of Samus Aran. Samus barely won the match by only 1,418 votes.
The debut of Samus Aran in her Zero Suit in a match picture. It was never used before until now.
This match made NO sense at all. Samus had Prime 3 Corruption hype while FF7 was...FF7.

Perhaps the very first WTF match in Character Battle history.
Luigi was hyped and got killed by Squall with ease in this match with a 60-40 thrashing.
How could this happen to me? I made my mistakes? Got no where to run for Luigi here.

I wasn't on the board for Luigi vs Squall, but my brother had Luigi losing first round to Rachet and I also had Squall here.

Hero of popular game> lesser mario brother, at least in 2003. Never got why that match was so shocking. When I came to the board in 2004, I was shocked people took Luigi.

Not sure why Samus/Tifa is a number one seed. Sonic/Samus should be in its place as it was much closer.
