I know it's a Marvel movie, but I didn't expect there to be as much humor given the gravity of the situation. The end surprised me though, if the gauntlet is destroyed then are all of those people dead for good?

honorable mention to the Stones actually being capable of being destroyed. Time stone shenanigans was the obvious line, but I was hoping when Wanda tried to break the Mind stone, it just wouldn't work. because it's a fucking Infinity stone.

otherwise, loved it a ton.

For sure. Most likely Cap since his contract is up and Chris Evans has been reported to not re-signing since he's been wanting out for a while.

I just thought one of them would die in this one to show how much of a threat Thanos was but I guess they did the numbers treatment (pre universal genocide) instead.

Honestly I was really surprised at Black Panther death and Spider-Man death. I mean I figure they're going to be brought back but I was surprised that they were killed at all.

I was also surprised by the appearance of Red Skull.

Now that I think about it, the biggest surprise was Hawkeye never bothering to showed up in this movie. And where was Ant Man? He was in the trailers, wasn't he?

retired in lieu of Raft time. I expect Ant-Man and the Wasp to explain Scott's absence, and it might clear up Clint's, too, since they seem to have gotten the same deal.

Loki and Heimdal deaths. And lack of Hulk.

I assume Part 2 will take us back to the moment of Thanos using the time stone and killing Vision, but I cant forsee them going right back to the very beginning of the movie because then IW will have been pointless. So most likely Loki and Heindal are dead..

I had a feeling they would have Thanos take out Hulk right away so they would show how strong Thanos was. However, that scene in the trailer where Hulk, Cap, War Machine, Black Widow and the Black Panther army is running towards the camera doesnt exist in the movie. Hulk is technically in it for less than 5 minutes, pretty balsy when he was a main character in Ragnarok.

They were all there, just the gauntlet is damaged.

Im assuming Thanos cant use without the gauntlet so in #2 they will get the smith to make a new one and well get a big fight with Thanos to get the stones.

A few more will die, Rodgers will sacrifice himself to save somebody and most likely of the deaths will be reset.

Anything before the snap will stay but we know BP and Spidey have sequels so...

Since I'm familiar with Infinity Gauntlet, I fully expected the snap and a lot of people to die. That being said, I was surprised Black Panther bit the dust with how big of a push he had.

But the biggest surprise was definitely Red Skull. I didn't expect to see Red Skull at all. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've mocked people who have claimed he would come back and be a Thanos minion for years, but mostly because I thought they'd never bring him back just cause he wasn't needed.

I'm glad Thor got a good shot on Thanos with the axe at the end. Let's us know that he's at least vulnerable to strong enough attacks.

When they finally beat him, it would feel like more of an ass-pull if he went through IW tanking everything to suddenly get overwhelmed in the sequel.
