i didn't shit for four days after double hernia surgery, and when it finally came time, i felt like i was giving birth. like legit tears and pain for two hours on the bowl, worst shit of my life, and i had hemorrhoids like a bunch of grapes for a month.

Witch Hazel is your friend. Either use it on a folded over bunch of terlet paper or use it with a cotton ball to dab at the area.
