Hannitys producers are trying to contact him right now

LOL

From your own link

A source familiar with Sean Hannitys legal relationship with Michael Cohen said Cohen "has never represented Sean Hannity in any matter involving a third party. Hannity has occasionally asked Mr. Cohen questions concerning the law that Mr. Cohen indicated would be privileged."

Hannity is saying Cohen never charged him.

If that's true, then would Hannity actually be considered Cohen's client, or just a friend who gives him legal advice? Is the latter covered by attorney-client privilege?

LET ME BE CLEAR THE COMMENTS ABOUT ME ON A RADIO SHOW THIS WEEK by this individual ARE 100% false and a complete fabrication. This individual is a serial harasser who has been lying about me for well over a decade. The individual has a history of making provably false statements against me in an effort to slander, smear and besmirch my reputation, he said.

The individual has not just slandered me over the years but many people who this individual disagrees with. This individual desperately seeks attention by any means necessary, including making unfounded personal attacks and using indefensible and outrageous political rhetoric."

My patience with this individual is over. I have retained a team of some of the finest and toughest lawyers in the country who are now in the process of laying out the legal course of action we will be taking against this individual.

Depends on the state.

You don't have to pay an attorney to form an attorney-client relationship. It could be pro bono.

Hannity is trying to downplay his relationship with Cohen because of the obvious ethical concerns it poses
Cohen, however, is trying to up-play this because he needs to show that he is regularly practicing as an attorney.

Uh, duh? Attorney-client privilege would prevent Cohen from disclosing the identity of other clients outside of this Trump case unless ordered by the court or unless those clients give him permission to do so.

I question if Cohen even practiced law. Because, being his lack of clients and total lack of history, it appears his entire job was as a "fixer" to set up NDA's and pay off other people.

If you have clients like Trump and Hannity, you don't need a ton of clients. Any attorney would love to have a client like those two.

Is that why countless high profile attorneys rejected to represent Trump? Come on now, your claims fly in the face of reality

They're just grandstanding/virtue signaling and, frankly, being pussies.

Sure Mix, sure.

Even if that is the case, they still are rejecting him anyway, meaning that no, "any attorney" wouldn't love to have a client like those two.

He is a lawyer. Anything Trump or Hannity told him related to his representation of them is covered by attorney-client privilege even if they ultimately never hired him after the initial consultation. The only major exceptions would be things like crime-fraud (if he were assisting them in a crime or fraud), but that is on the government to prove up those exceptions.

This is true, but not relevant to the point. The claim is that the things Cohen was doing for his clients weren't actually attorney relations, and so they aren't covered by privilege.

It's not the case that any and all communication between a lawyer and a person they at one point represented is covered under privilege.

The government has to prove that, and I have yet to see any evidence that the government did so prior to raiding Cohen's office like Gestapo in the night.

Wow, it seems like a failure of journalistic ethics that Fox allowed Hannity to offer coverage of news pertaining to Michael Cohen without disclosing that he is a client of Cohen. I am sure that they will rectify this error immediately and issue a statement.

But remember, it's the left wing liberal Fake News who are the corrupt ones!

Hannity is not a news reporter, guys. Hes a pundit. He has no obligation or pretense about being unbiased. Not sure how many times we need to go over this.

This is embarrassing, even for you.
