It was okay. As a huge fan of Power Rangers, I had a decent time with the film. The acting was solid and seeing the Rangers , Zordon, and Rita being fleshed out was nice.
Took way too long for the Rangers to actually get into costume. The Zords looked like Transformer rejects. I didn't like how the Rangers didn't use their trademark weapons even though at the end, Jason was putting away the Red Ranger sword in the Command Center. Goldar looked terrible and so did the Megazord. Fuck Krispy Kreme I was kind of hoping the cheese of Power Rangers would be embraced more in the movie. Maybe I'm a ust a big fan of the series but I would have had a huge smile on my face if there the morphing sequence was more like the original or if Rita said "Ah, after 10,000 years I'm free! It's time to conquer Earth!" Would watch it again if it was on TV/10. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

With the title card just being "Power Rangers" in the bottom corner with no flashy effects I thought it was going to be this super serious gritty and dark adaptation.

My main complaints:
- Alpha looked bad - Goldar looked bad - Not enough in costume time Neutral: - Zords looked alright - Megazord was mediocre but not bad - Rita being Overall I loved the movie. A great way to bring the rangers into the spotlight. I didn't care for it much. Luckily for both of us, Shattered Grid is right around the corner, a TRUE Power Rangers movie that will deliver on all that fans loved about the Power Rangers.

Shattered Grid is a comic event. The live action trailer you saw was a passion project by JDF to signal boost the comics.
