I disagree with you there Vlado and find it's kind of a personal thing and not everybody should be put to the same ideals!

Plus, you run the babes battle! Porn does not just mean videos of people having sex, it's a catch all term, it includes erotica that models in your contest have made! And which has surely helped many people relieve stress and get some sleep over the years. You post topics that could be said to include "porn" in them, so it goes to show just how subjective judging this stuff is.

I've always been a fan of the word erotica, if that word was used would you have the same response? Most definitions of pornography pretty much just say that they're supposed to try to arouse, and of course nude or even semi-nude photography that you post can be said to be pornography. So it's all very wacky isn't it?

And to further nitpick, you say watch, but the description in the topic says look at, so this clearly includes pictures, so Vlado you are guilty as charged my man. :P

Ehh, if we broaden "porn"'s definition that much, almost no man will be excluded! When I say porn, I mean porn. Nothing wrong with looking at a pair of nice boobs, but watching porn and relying on it to get off is bad for the mind and a big obstacle on your path to self-improvement.

Pretty much me saying it's not necessarily addictive or harmful, and saying it can be good, it's like I'm making a pitch for marijuana. Maybe we'll hand out porn cards.

Anything can be not necessarily addictive or harmful. For some people. For some time. The answer to whether something is harmful or not lies in its long-term effects of society, and is based in statistics. Since we got overwhelmed with porn, more people are less happy and with no sense of direction in their lives, families fall apart more easily, and more children are raised by television and the internet instead of their parents. That is regrettable, and while porn is far from the only factor in it, it contributes.

In short, I'm not against someone enjoying porn if it's in restraint. I know I did. And not everyone has the circumstances and determination allowing him to ditch it. But porn is an overall ill to society, and for that I take a stand against it. If nothing else, there are so many things you could do with that time.

Yeah and there are statistics that claim that the rise of porn has reduced the overall number of sexual crimes, helps marriages stay happier when open about viewing due to managing libidos their partners can't match, helps people explore and satiate fetishes they couldn't normally due to needing to find obscure partners which isn't always viable or realistic which improves mood and productivity...

And there is very, VERY little statistics that point to the opposite. There is basically like, one study I can find from like 2007 that claims that it hurts the male instinct to reproduce due to constantly introducing new women but that's debatable if that's even a bad thing in the first place due to overpopulation etc.

So I don't really see your point, at all.

There will always be fabrications trying to enforce the status quo. That's what people in power do. That does not change reality. Libido is not some wild beast you cannot control. Unless you let it be. That's one small refusing to be human.
