I always feel on edge while driving on drunken holidays, but I rarely see an accident myself. About a block from my house some drunk teenage girl took a wide left turn and drove onto the sidewalk and through somebody's fence. I honestly just wish DUIs resulted in a permanent revocation of driving privileges, or at the very least a 10-year ban.

The properties on the south side of this road have fences the whole way along. It's 100% saturation with fences up in here. There is always one different panel smashed out by a car that jumped a curb. The road is four lanes and there aren't any sharp turns. It's kind of disconcerting to think of how many drunken shit-heaps must be using it regularly. Doubly unnerving for me now because my buddy was killed in a car accident last October so I've been a little more on edge....

I know it sounds kind of odd for me to say this about myself, but you should know that my mood changes with the wind.

I'm definitely in favor of harsher penalties. Here in Milwaukee aka "Brew City" it's almost disturbingly lenient. Hell, some guy that ran into the back of a van, killing multiple people, had over 5 if I remember correctly.

It actually pisses me off how nonchalant people can be about it.
