Current Events > Why do I keep getting rejections from possible career interests?

I've been trying to get a job for nearly a month. I've applied to probably 50+ job postings, got maybe 10 responses, 3 interviews and no offers.

It's not like I'm applying for jobs that are too far out of my reach. They're all like store positions, grocery, entry level wireless and clerical, etc. These are jobs that anyone without any job experience or formal education could land.

There were two companies that I was really excited about and thought I had a chance with. The interviews seemed to go well but I just got both of their rejections via email this morning.

If I don't find another job soon I'll probably end up at a women's homeless shelter or something.. I wanna cry :(

If you are out of school without a diploma then this is probably the case. They will always choose students in school or people with diplomas before someone without one

You're lying on your application, I'd never hire you. I'd take an honest idiot over a little snake any day of the week. You're not even cut to flip burgers, forget an actual career (nothing you listed is a career, FYI).

Good luck. You're gonna need it. Maybe you could try Wal-Mart. They'll hire anything that breathes, and I sincerely doubt they review your applications given the company is one massive superstructure of revolving doors.

Never claimed to have a degree that I didn't.

Say you're in the process. If they find out you don't have your GED, it'll be before they hire you and you won't have the opportunity to ask for forgiveness.

Severe anxiety caused me to drop out for nearly two years, so my projected graduation date would be in 2019. That's too far for me, so I decided to get my GED

I don't think I've ever seen worse advice here. Try to keep in mind this is a person's life you're talking about, not some video game where you can throw people away and make new ones whenever you screw up.

I don't think I've ever seen worse advice here. Try to keep in mind this is a person's life you're talking about, not some video game where you can throw people away and make new ones whenever you screw up.

It's part of being a entrepreneur, you gotta be able to take some risk in your business if you wanna be successful...

You gotta supply yourself with fruit (probably spend around $100 on fruit).
You'll probably make $200~$400 in one day.
If you don't want to sell fruit yourself, you can "hire" someone else (probably a friend or family member) to do it for you and pay them 20%~50% of your profit...
