Pretty much, yeah.

Chi-Chi fought pretty well against Goku in the 23rd Budokai tournament, and had various adventures with Goku as a child beforehand. Once they got married, she pretty much stayed in the house.

Android 18 married Krillin and pretty much did the same. Even more insultingly, when Frieza came back in Resurrection F, she suggested that she goes to fight Frieza instead, since she is much stronger than Krillin is, but Krillin told her to stay back and watch their daughter while he went on to intercept Frieza with the other Z Warriors.

Videl was also a capable fighter and the daughter of world champ Hercule himself. She too retired from fighting after getting together with Gohan, though maybe she was traumatized from fighting again after getting the absolute shit knocked out of her by Spopovich (but then again, this didn't stop Gohan, who was much younger than she was when he was forced into fighting the Saiyans).

Maybe? Her first trauma was when she thought she killed the dude. Her second trauma was getting beaten nearly to death by the same dude who she thought was killed by her hand. That shit would traumatize me for life.

she has no interest in being the best fighter she just wants the cash prize form tournaments as we saw in the world championship where she was in the finals and threw the fight only if hercule gave her the prize money. he gets to keep the title she doesnt want and she gets to keep the money

money was also how goku got her to join the tournament of power.
and to be fair to krillen scene in the gold freeza arc

she did offer to go in his place because krillen was terrified and she was much stronger than all the others going to the fight other than vegeta and goku.
but krillen didnt tell her to stay because she was a woman and his wife
he asked her to stay behind because if they fail they need her strength to protect their daughter marron basically turning 18 into their last line of defense

Makes me wonder if they made Android 21 canon would she continue to fight after dealing with her evil half or would she just do all that other shit she always dreamed about doing like using her regeneration to expand earth's medical field, dote on her robot son and taste all the snacks and foods of the world.

They won't even let Buu fight and he's stronger than all of them except for Goku and the androids who don't even need to train to get stronger, they get stronger simply be existing, or shit, if they'd have kept Future Trunks since he really had no where else to go they'd have someone at least stronger than Kid Trunks and Goten/Gotenks

I feel more sorry for Tien, he has nothing in his life but training and desperately wants to be stronger but he's not ever allowed to be, at least Yamcha wised up and got a career and Yamjirobe just lives the NEET life in Korin's tower.

18 not being an active fighter makes sense. She's strong sure, but she never had to work at it or train and generally she does what she wants to make her happy. Just because you were built to be a bad ass fighter doesn't mean you have to be all the time. Not when you could focus on the stuff you actually enjoy.

Videl went from being an ace fighter and daughter of the strongest man in the world to realizing that all the training in the world will never make you even a fraction as strong as two children. Factor in the Spopovich thing and the fact that her husband also just gave up on fighting, it makes sense that she gave up.

Chi Chi is the hardest to understand. She went from being an active adventurer and fighter, one of the best in the world at the time. To a study focused, nagging housewife. I'm gonna just chalk it up to her realizing that she needed to grow up because her idiot man-child of a husband sure as fuck wasn't going to.

each team had at least 1 woman in their ranks

IIRC the number of female fighters out of the 80 in the tournament of power was 11
which is more than any other arc in dragon ball history

U6 introduced 2 Saiyan Women who could've theoretically hang with the MC's depending on what variable power scaling the episode at the time decided to follow.

But most of the reception is mixed with some of the fandom calling them cancer.
