It's not like the old one would win any awards, but it was entertaining, and so is the sequel. It didn't feel like a cheap grab for cash - they actually wanted to make a movie. Pretty clever plot with some good gags, and the actors do a good job. It's definitely aimed at younger audiences overall but it's worth a watch.

It was good. I think most of the jokes fell flat though. The Rock looking at his muscles in amazement is only so funny.

The only way to do a sequel "that nobody asked for" is to either make it hilariously meta and self-aware (Gremlins 2) or come up with an entirely new story that doesn't really build on the first.
