Eventually phones will get more appliance like
right now theyre only appealing to what looks good, rather than function

in the future they'll not be straight rectangles and be more grooved shape for the hand, using compressable plastic for the shell so its not grooved for just one hand

the only reason you need to buy a case for your phone is because companies want them to be thin and good looking, forcing you to buy a case when they could have just made it thicker to start. The future will eliminate this, phones will be like forks or spoons, nobody cares if your spoon has a thinner handle, we want one that won't snap without me having to buy a handle reinforcement.

We will also not worry about the fragility of phones, if we want to clean a smudge off a screen we can run it under water, or put it into the bath (showers arent feasible, we are only allowed 4cm high water in the bath) and wipe it off.

No phone has a headphone port in the future, there's no need when you implant your headphone into your ear and use that for all your appliances.

Also everyone wears glasses that have cameras on the ear pieces, that provide a 360 view so everyone has 360 vision. Its the hip fad.

We have those already. I don't think it's every phone though.

And phones are thin because of portability.
