I almost wonder if I should pay 2 months worth of mortgages so then I have nothing to worry about until May.

Better than blowing it off on things you don't need.

the only reason to do that is if you're not good at managing your money and you fear you'll be irresponsible with it before those bills will be due.

leaving the money in your account gives you flexibility to use it in case something else comes up. if you pay the 2 months of mortgage payments now and you have an emergency, like an unexpected car repair or a medical bill, those funds won't be available.

Do you have any debt besides the mortgage? If so, it'd make more sense to put that towards the debt rather than the mortgage.

If you only have a mortgage, unless you're going to be paying extra consistently until it's paid off it'd be pointless to make an extra payment here or there. You'd be better off retaining the cash for emergencies.

This. Look into opening a traditional IRA or a Roth IRA. I have a Roth IRA at Vanguard, but places like Fidelity are good too.

Yeah I have a roth at Fidelity. I only chose Fidelity over Vanguard because Fidelity recently lowered their fees on a lot of their major funds so at least according to my research it was a better deal.
