Now I want to precursor this with that I love spicy food, I have Habenero peppers, scotch bonets and sarasha sauces, I will eat vindaloos without much issue. I love heat in my food. Bare this in mind.

I once tried a "Inferno wing" challenge at a place called Wings in Edinburgh, I managed 3. I felt like I was going to vomit, I could barely breathe, and my piss burned for days after, never mind when I tried to poo!

Pretty sure my stomach has never been the same since too, deadly stuff!

I don't mess with extract sauces, compared to pepper sauces, unless I am using them myself. They are really bad for you in large quantities, and very few can handle them. I can handle the initial effects, but it's the after effects that get to me.

Jalapenos will sneak up on you for sure, I've grown my own and they were much more brutal than the store bought ones. I've also store bought habaneros and eaten them whole only to find they were surprisingly mild.

I had some ghost pepper chicken wings that a friend got at a local pub and then brought into work. They were so absurdly hot.

I usually like hot things. I regularly order the hottest option on the menu and have been to places where you need to sign a waiver to eat their hottest wings, but these were next level. I was leaking fluid from my face for about half an hour after eating just one.

A jalapeo that some Mexican kid in high school brought from his home garden

Holy shit

It was terrible, I'd only had the store bought ones so I popped the entire thing in my mouth and it was worse than any habanero or gimmick named hot sauce or whatever I've had since

Carolina reaper.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carolina_Reaper

My my sister-in-law has a YouTube channel where they do those stupid internet challenges. One day they came to visit and offered me a pepper, knowing they'd been doing hot pepper challenges I refused. They kept pressuring me, claiming it wasn't going to be bad. I eventually caved and ate it just to get them off my back. It actually wasn't bad to eat, but it gave quite a piercing pain in my stomach for about 15 minutes.

Literally the hottest recorded hot sauce. Circa 2016

It was a taste tester at pepper palace (one of fav businesses) but that tiny dab was still enough to make me choke and then get hiccups for the next 20mins

Ive had phaal curry at this Indian restaurant in nyc.

This specifically:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdrozeA7HpU

It was both very tasty and excruciatingly spicy. I did not finish it, I got about two thirds of the way through it before my mouth and fingers went numb and my stomach hurt too much to continue. I like spicy food but that was on an entirely different level.

One of those novelty hot sauces. I think it was like 357 Magnum or something.

Just found it on amazon and thats what it was. Not as many Scovilles as I thought it was but I still drooled into a cup on and off for half an hour.

I had bhut jolokia (ghost chili) fresh (had our own plant), as dried ground flakes and seeds (in curry), and in Dave's Insanity sauce. It's definitely my favorite as it has a pretty rich and smokey flavor. It also wasn't so harsh on my stomach, even in higher concentrations.

I also had the Trinidad Scorpion (dried and ground) in curry. It didn't seem that much hotter than the bhut jolokia when eating it, but I did wake up in the middle of the night with a terrible burning in my stomach. Honestly, I hated that thing and will never eat it again. I've eaten spicy food all my life and never experienced such pain, and it didn't really have any flavor either.

But this was like seven or eight years ago before I got married. My wife doesn't really like spicy food and lately, the hottest thing I've eaten are habaneros chopped fresh in homemade salsa (though I do chop up an entire habanero per 3-4 ounces of salsa). Still pretty spicy, but I do miss bhut jolokia. And yeah it's not even the hottest pepper anymore, but it is delicious.

Mrs Renfro's ghost pepper salsa. It's way watered down but it still burns with violence.

Also it has a really nice smokey flavor.

Im not sure if youre serious or making a joke on the name. I havent been there in over 3 years.

They've got a barbecue sauce that really does smell like something between paint thinner and latex paint, and it's awesome.

I've had some Indian/Texas BBQ hybrid sauce that claimed to be 500k+ -- I asked for some sauce separate and I choked a little as I downed it like a shot of tequila. Despite being in liquid(-ish) form, it felt like I swallowed sandpaper and wood-shavings and I coughed most of it back out.

Being a trooper I made sure everything went back down the 2nd try, but I had no additional seasoning for the remainder of the meal (I presume bare or dry-rubbed meats) and of course salad. (Cucumbers. All the cucumbers.)

By the time we finished dessert, I had forgotten I even ate something new. But a few days later was a painful exiting reminder of my stupidity that night. And apparently Scoville numbers go up into the millions. (Nope. Nopenopenopenope.)
