The mother of 15 y/o Peter Wang, who was one of the students killed in the Florida Shooting collapsed as she and her husband had to be held by family and friends while attending his funeral..

The hero student was last seen alive wearing his uniform as he held the door open so students could seek safety before he was killed..

Peter's mother, Hui Wang was overcome with grief at the funeral on the same day Florida lawmakers voted overwhelmingly by all Republicans to NOT hear a bill to ban assault rifles.

Hui says she's "stuck in a nightmare" after learning the news that her son had died. Hui and her husband do not speak english and had to be told by friends that Peter was one of the vicitms of he massacre. He was honoured with an Army Medal of Heroism and buried in his ROTC uniform. The family was also given a medal as a keepsake. The family had moved to America from China in hopes for their children to have a better life.

His coffin was draped in a US flag and white doves were released as he planned to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. Members of the guard dressed in full uniform were among those to pay their respects. Peters 2 brothers were seen holding his picture as they thousands of mourners paid their last respects.

This on the same day as thousands of students and teachers and parents descended upon the Florida House where they were devastated to hear that they rejected a ban against assault rifles and refused to hear a motion on it.

The teens prepared to confront legislatures who have quashed gun control efforts for decades in a state where 1.3 million people have concealed carry permits.

They spent the 7 hour bus ride checking their phones and watching videos and reading comments about the shooting, some of which were accused as "liberal pawns" by right wing conspiracy theorists.

This isn't the end as a huge rally will occur on March 24th that is helped with the organization of the Women's March where millions are expected across the country to demand a change and support gun control.

President Trump spoke with shooting survivors today and suggested ARMING TEACHERS which has sparked outrage among the community. One of the parents, Andrew Pollack, who is an avid Trump Supporter told the president to his face that he wants change after his 17 y/o daughter, Meadow Pollack was killed in the shooting.

Gun control (including an "assault weapons" ban) by itself is like slapping a bandage on an infected wound with nothing to take care of the infection itself. Sure you might be hiding the problem and making it look perfectly fine from the outside, but underneath the bandage the problem is only getting worse and worse until the patient soon dies from the infection.

Or you know we could figure out a way to deal with mental health better. But shhhh you didnt hear me say that cause guns are the problem, not that this guy was bat**** crazy, was a known threat to himself and others and was reported to the FBI several times for saying he would shoot up the school. Nope, its that he had access to guns because hes an adult so thats the easy target.

Actually, what I'm asking, is that teachers already licensed for concealed carry, or those interested in being so, be allowed to carry their gun on school property. You don't need to arm anyone who doesn't want to be, that's a bad idea.
