imo the 71 slays so hard it isnt even fair to the rest of them for it to be included

bonus question for people who aren't familiar with their music, when you saw "grateful dead" which of these was closest to what you were expecting (if any)

'77. It's the first version I heard years ago. On a side note I've got a shirt from the '95 tour.

i voted 74 because i prefer that loose, jazzy sound they had during 73-74 (my favorite period).

I feel like with the exception of 77" it just progressively got worse with time... Which is kinda depressing.

85 is a rough year because that's when Jerry went into the coma and his playing for the rest of the year was pretty sub-par. the late 80s / early 90s had some great stuff but by the time '95 rolled around Jerry was a shell of his former self. fucking heroin, man.

I'm not. Keep the memories true and don't go to no revival shows.

I've seen Furthur like six or seven times, Ratdog three or four, P&Fs twice.
I've seen D&C seven times and I will continue to see them anytime they come to my state, or one state away.

and Dark Star Orchestra at least 20.

I didn't get on the bus until late 90s well after Jerry died so that wasn't an option. Even if I did catch GD with Jerry I'd still go see solo tours / revivals and covers.
