Conqueror of Shamballa or w/e? That one was alright, but it went off the weird af ending of the original anime.

Or is it some weird live-action thing?

oh god they made one of these. problem with japanese movies is that they tend to be low budget.

That'd be the live-action one that just came out last year and will be on Netflix shortly.

There are only five reviews on RT, and even the one positive one admitted that it's flawed and rushes things.

The consensus seems to be that fans will probably like it because they'll recognize things from the older works, but it doesn't really work as a movie.

Throw it on the pile of similar "anime to live-action" works, I guess.

Japanese live action adaptations of anime tend to suck. It's comething they have in common with us. The live action FMA movie was made in Japan right? It's not a US adaptation like Death Note was right?

I dont understand Japan's live-action adaptations. They try so hard to make everything look and feel like the anime, that they may as well just be doing animation. It always ends up looking like a bunch of cosplayers. >_>
