It feels like over 90% of this board is over the age of 19. If there has ever been a poll of the day based on age of users maybe it could back up this claim.

Kind of hard to get new users to frequent a dying website.

gamefaqs doesn't really have any relevance to the young crowd. Written game guides are kind of a thing of the past when people can watch game guides on youtube. There also pretty much a subreddit for everything.

In terms of attracting new users, you have to consider that very few people in 2018 are going to come to a website to look at a text FAQ if they're stuck in a game. You YouTube the bit you're stuck at and you can actually SEE how to do it rather than read about it.

The FAQS themselves are fairly archaic in this day and age.

Maybe when you were a teenager yourself it felt that way. Why would I as a 30 year old want to be on a board with a bunch of kids? Even early 20s seems really young to me.

I don't really even understand how new users end up here. I can't imagine any reason to come here, rather than YouTube or Reddit. Then stay here long enough to wander into a non-gaming message board to scream about liberals and/or conservatives.

People keep saying this, but looking at a video is extremely cumbersome compared to looking at a text guide. You can almost always find the answer much faster in a FAQ.

Very few new users on the site in general. Popular game boards do still get quite a few new people, and sometimes people even read and write faqs. Although Wikis are a more popular format for text guides for most games now.
