But here you go...

One example doesn't mean you can accurately say that gang members in Chicago are democrats.

What about Baltimore

And them supporting certain policies doesn't even necessarily make them democrats!

That article covers more than just one example. Im done dealing with your mental gymnastics.

My mental gymnastics? You're moving goalposts and back pedaling. You say gang members are democrats. But you have no evidence. Give up! You're very sad.

Where did democrats say they want to grab guns and that gun grabbing doesn't work?

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/oct/6/slippery-slope-bump-stock-ban/

Even House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi admits any bans on bump stocks could bring on more Second Amendment controls.

After the Las Vegas shooting, attention immediately turned to gun control, and Nancy Pelosi got caught admitting that it was all about more gun grabbing.

http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/354440-feinstein-no-law-would-have-stopped-las-vegas-gunman

Could there have been any law passed that would've stopped him? Host John Dickerson asked the senator.

No, he passed background checks registering for handguns and other weapons on multiple occasions, Feinstein replied.

So there you go. The Democrats have admitted that they're out for gun control, and they're admitted that gun control doesn't stop gun violence. I mean, what more do you want?

People who break the law aren't concerned that they're suddenly breaking a couple more laws than before. Even if this guy in Florida didn't even shoot anyone and just brought a gun to the school and discharged it, he'd still be in deep shit. Multiple felonies. But he owned the weapon and as far as I know he transported it legally, so it's not like the Sandy Hook shooting where the guy had already committed enough crimes to put him in prison for the rest of his life before he even got to the school.

We have plenty of laws. The Florida shooter will get multiple life sentences. More laws aren't the issue. This is modern liberalism. "Let's put him away for twenty lifetimes instead of ten! YEAH, we really accomplished something!"

Guns are designed for the sole purpose of killing.

Some people are fond of repeating this line but it's short-sighted and intentionally ignores how peaceful law-abiding citizens use them.

Just sayin'.

I'm not saying people buy them to kill people. I said the purpose of their creation is to kill.

Enlighten me as to what they are created for?

I'm not really disputing the intent of the creation of firearms, the escalation of warfare, finding advantage in battle, which is ugly and brutal whether it's for offense or defense... but the line is misleading.

It's meant to be a thought-terminating cliche.

The purpose of a gun is dependent on the owner.

"could bring on more second amendment controls" != gun grabbing

Also nowhere did "they" admit gun control doesn't do anything. One person said he didn't break the law. That doesn't mean increased gun regulation won't curb mass shootings.

What a leap!

Also, care to address the rest of my post?

how about your comparison to cars?

Do you think all gun owners should require a license that they must pass study and tests to obtain?

Right. That part is true, but it can't, and won't, be a "republican" or "democratic" solution, because even if one of them is a legitimate good solution, the fact that it's the "other side" idea will stop it from happening

You can use a car to kill.

You can withhold food to starve a person to death. Or poison them with it.

You can use a book to teach people how to kill. Without literacy warfare wouldn't be where it is today.

You're trying to reduce these facets of life into nice little sugar-coated categories like its Sesame Street but the human brain is more advanced than that. It's reductive reasoning and I don't mean to be an argumentative asshole about this... but it is dishonest in a way.

And to be clear I'm not saying a firearm is equivalent to those elements you mentioned. You mentioned them so I'm addressing them based on their potential power and potential purpose.

The only part that deserves a response is the car example. You can kill someone with a car, yes. But its designed purpose is not to kill. The same can't be said for a gun. It's just a fact. I'm not trying to be an asshole. I'm just saying the truth

The intent on the part of the manufacturer of a thing (whatever it is) doesn't really matter to someone who's hell-bent on destruction.

Like, you're right in a way, but at the same time you're not. My contention to begin with and still is, was that what you're saying is not the whole truth. Life is more complicated and ugly and confusing than the summarization that you're trying to convince people of.

That's true. Anything else you're adding is unnecessary. Just because you have other opinions about it doesn't mean that there is anything lacking in my statement.

Cruz said he hated black people simply because they were black; Cruz hated Jews because he believed they wanted to destroy the world. After one member expressed hatred for gay people, Cruz agreed, saying, "Shoot them in the back of head." White women drew Cruz's hatred as well, specifically those in interracial relationships, whom he referred to repeatedly as traitors.

During one of the anti-Semitic rants in the chat, Cruz spoke of his birth mother, saying, "My real mom was a Jew. I am glad I never met her."

"He seemed nice but also had some mental issues," one member told CNN. "All (I know) is that he likes guns and really hates liberals."
