For two reasons. One, I'm obviously mad that a pos like Harvey Weinstein has gotten away with bull shit like this for so long. Two, I'm mad at you ladies. I'm sorry but we live in a world where men and women have to work together, it's time to man the fuck up. If some asshole puts you in an uncomfortable position tell them to fuck right off.

And you're taking it to an extreme. If you really want social change like this, you're gonna need men on your side. There is no long lasting solution in just demonizing men in general and propagating public shaming campaigns against men who haven't done anything criminal.

You don't seem to get why women don't speak up when incidents like this happen.
Usually it done by a man in power. They are afraid doing so could ruin their career, or that people will side with the man in power since he does have power. Also they are afraid that people in general just won't believe them, which if you look at comments on the internet is basically exactly what happens.

Stop making up strawmen just cause you don't actually have a point. Assault is assault and is a criminal matter. I'm talking about inappropriate behavior in the workplace. Like sexual jokes and shit like that.

The vast majority of metoo people are just saying (without ever saying the dudes or chicks name or risking ruining their life) a situation where they were sexually assaulted or harassed. It's just about airing grievances which can be cathartic. Bottling that stuff up isn't good mentally.

It may seem like so many people are being taken down and that is what most of the metoo movement is but most people aren't name dropping and when they do it mostly powerful figures are being name-dropped.

Hell even one of the leaders of the metoo movement has now been called out and is currently under investigation. http://time.com/5140897/california-metoo-assemblywoman-misconduct-allegation/

Is it in SOME areas being taken too far and being taken advantaged of? Yes just like every single other large scale thing that has ever occurred there are going to be some people who try to abuse it. No movement of such a scale will ever happen without some people trying to take advantage of it and abuse it to hurt people they simply just don't like

How is explaining someone that happened to them by a specific man that's usually not named unless it's a famous or powerful person demonizing men in general?

How do you know that they haven't done anything criminal? The whole movement started and mostly contains stories about bad quite often illegal things a man has done to them.

people don't believe them because it's allegations coming out x amount of years after the fact, sometimes with there being multiple assaults.

and i'm sorry, but if you have a 10+ year career filled with multiple "sexual assaults" that you never spoke about, then you're not getting sexually assaulted, you're trading your body for a higher position in the status quo

The thing is, women are now speaking up because there is power in number. A one-on-one situation is, as we have seen, rarely taken seriously. When these women see that they are on a broad scale, being heard, they feel like their stories can finally be taken seriously.

"Joe from accounting forcefully fingered me! I did not consent!"
"Ya Sally. You have any proof?"
"....no, but he did!"
"Get back to work...."

Practically all these women have been facing. It's hard to prove sexual harassment since much is verbal and the assailants do it in areas where no one can see. Now that sexual harassment is being taken seriously, women as a collective see it as the opportunity to finally be heard. To add to the number to show just how serious this all is. It's no longer one-on-one. It's many on many.

I understand that some things are exaggerated (like that Al Franken picture. I dunno about the other claims, but I think that picture one was stupid), but this is a moment women are finally being heard. Maybe this movement will finally stop men from thinking they can get away with this shit.

plenty of happily married couples met in a professional setting. A boss hitting on their employees is not okay for obvious reasons. And continuing to hit on a co-worker who has made it clear they aren't interested is obviously not okay.

This reeks of someone who doesn't seem to understand what is going on. Obviously, you can't tell your boss to fuck off and expect zero consequences. Doubly so if you are a pre-teen or young adult who is trying to start their career. Even worse if your boss has the ability to blacklist you and effectively end your career. The proverbial cherry on the top is that people did come forward and many cases were ignored or laughed off for years.

This is not one of those 'there is wrong on both sides' kind of issues. Anything short of condemning sexual abusers is literally victim blaming.

Also, what case are you specifically talking about that is publically shaming innocent men?

I just watched the vice news special. So much of it just reeked of circle jerking bull shit

Way to sidestep every single thing I said in order to bash a video I've never seen nor did I even mention.

Then watch it, or just pay more attention to the public conversation at large, cause sexual predators are not the only targets.

Hey, TC. Do you wake up each day determined to prove to the world you can make their opinion of you even lower?

Two, I'm mad at you ladies. I'm sorry but we live in a world where men and women have to work together, it's time to man the fuck up. If some asshole puts you in an uncomfortable position tell them to fuck right off.

And you're taking it to an extreme. If you really want social change like this, you're gonna need men on your side. There is no long lasting solution in just demonizing men in general and propagating public shaming campaigns against men who haven't done anything criminal.

I'm a man and they have my support. I know I'm not the only one either. I'm not sure why you think they are attacking men. The only people they are demonizing is sexual predators. Unless you are one, there is really no reason for you to be offended by this.

How the hell does that have anything to do with what I said?
