Anyway, I'm gonna light up wherever I please. People are too chicken to actually approach smokers when it offends them and they would much rather sneer in the smoker's direction. If it's a problem and you care about it, then approach the smoker and I'm sure they'll happily go somewhere else. Most people are more inclined to be passive so it's a nice change in pace.

I'm not gonna smoke indoors cus then it starts to smell, stain walls, and potentially ruin electronics. It's also illegal to smoke inside of a hospital or on hospital grounds in most, if not all, states.

I'll smoke anywhere that I'm legally allowed to do so. If you don't like it, then oh well :^)

Besides, saying the smell bothers you or having to have second hand smoke? Do you drive a car? Those emit fumes that smell and are toxic to those around you. What about when people fart around you? You're pushing poo particles into the air when you fart...GROSS.

Im not fat and I excersize a lot. It isnt even about that. But even when youre further away and you cant smell it it can still poison you.
Thats why so many people get cancer from second hand smoke (especially young or old but Im 21 so Im in the safer range)

But Its kinda like no place is fully safe from you meanies polluting the environment and out body and health and safety.

Lots of girls like me for some reason even though I'm a pretty shit person who's rude and uncouth to most people. Hell, the last girl I saw was vehemently against smoking but had no problem with me sparking one in her car. I don't get it and it bothers me a lot. Like, I'm not outright an asshole unless someone's being a douche, but I also won't go out of my way to be nice to people.

90% of my posts were hyperbole btw. Smoking's the only habit of mine that I strongly encourage people to avoid.

On secondhand smoke, I'll say this much - I won't even light one if my cat is near me, let alone a baby human. If it's just adults in the area? I will smoke near you. I won't blow smoke in your face (I blow it upwards) and I will not stop unless asked politely which is when I will move away from those who acted like adults.

I know it's unkind to those who find it offensive and care about their health, but I'm no mind reader and giving me death stares from across the street won't do anything other than make me want to smoke closer to you.

ever consider why no one says anything? because the typical response is an asshole remark or the smoker screaming and yelling in outrage so no one wants to fucking tell them to fuck off

You dont need to be a mind reader to know healthy people think it stinks and dont want their lungs at risk. Most people dont say aanything because it would seem weird or rude or they expect bad responses. Most people think its more adult to deal with it.

The key difference being that smoking is voluntary and serves no other purpose. Cars are pretty much necessary in most cities (and there are plenty of initiatives in progress to reduce their impact on air quality). Farting is a natural consequence of bacterial activity in the gut, and typically can't be controlled (and when it can, those who choose to fart around other people are in fact being highly inconsiderate). Smokers, however, are stinking up my air with their choice.

Then I'll read their minds for you: Nobody likes you. At best, anyone who isn't lighting up beside you is ambivalent, but most would rather you not smoke around them. Given that, coupled with your inability to tell when people are allergic, asthmatic, or otherwise particularly sensitive to smoke, choosing to smoke around anyone else is impossible to defend as anything other than a dick move. Just don't do it.

I smoke cigars but I only smoke on my balcony, and usually after the sun has gone down. I have a corner apartment and my balcony is nowhere near any windows.

On the other side of the coin when I was a smoker if someone came and stood/sat next to me knowing what I was doing then I certainly wouldn't move to accommodate them. No. They even said if they lit up next to you, ask them to move, and most will. And they should. But if they're smoking already, and you stand next to them, then you would move away...

Anyway, I don't smoke, but don't mind it. But a lot of the non-smokers seem to be acting pretty rude. And calling smokers names. Most of them are just trying to have a nice debate, and it seems like everyone is just yelling at them. Its usually malls that you most commonly see this, but theyre always right up near the doors so as you walk in you get that smell on you for a while. Come on guys the least you could do is walk to the side a bit so we can walk in and out in peace.

Smoke usually makes me sick, too, so I always dread going to the mall and seeing one of them right outside.
