Gen 1 was messed up in a lot of ways, especially Bug, Ghost & Dragon. Lickitung didn't learn Lick. Mr. Mime needs a TM for Mimic. Fossil pokemon can't even learn rock TMs. Pinsir, Butterfree & Dratini/te don't learn any STAB moves. Scyther had to wait till Y for Wing Attack. Mankey had to wait till Y for a fighting move. Zubat doesn't learn poison moves. Exeggcute & Starmie need a TM to learn a psychic move. Paras needs a TM for a grass move. Sandshrew, Onix and the Nido's need a TM for a ground move. Rhyhorn needs TMs for rock & ground moves. Jynx needs a TM for a psychic move. (Too bad she can't learn Dream Eater with her Lovely Kiss) Lick was the only STAB ghost move.
