I'm talking about people with a preference for younger, much younger.

Sure, it's legal in some places but it sure as fuck doesn't look good on them.

I've seen more than a few users recently bragging about hooking up with barely legal like it's some kind of accomplishment. Those threads stay up while the ones calling out those users are modded or locked.

What's the deal? Does GameSpot have a soft spot here?

If they arent doing anything illegal why would they delete the topics? Age of consent isnt up to you to police when there are laws in place determining what the age of consent is.

Because these call outs are flaming and personal attacks.

I've seen people bragging about banging 18 year olds, sometimes 16. But as creepy as it may be, if they're above age of consent its not illegal. :/

1) Its a fine line when Gamefaqs starts interpreting laws and censoring people for something that is legal in most states. Im not condoning Im just talking legality here.

2) Criticize without flaming. Moderations happen cause people lose sanity and start calling others pedophiles or a variety of other colorful names for child molestors. Thats against the TOS. Gamefaqs isnt going to split hairs there and let them stand because you think someone is pedophile. The rules still apply.

For illegal activities moderations, what laws are taken into consideration? USA as a whole or is it specific to the state the company is based in?

Unfortunately, threads are locked down regardless in recent time - at least from what I've seen. Some individuals are modded (for flaming, I assume) but the thread itself is locked without deletion.

It may not fit the legal definition of 'sexual predator' depending on where you live, but that is definitely predatory behavior. This forum is a safe haven for those types, clear as day.

1 - I'm asking what the moderation rules of this forum are based on. Is it based on federal US law or whatever state GameSpot is registered in? It's for sure American but I don't know which set of laws the "Illegal Activities" rules of this site come from.

2 - I don't understand what the issue here is or what rules are being broken for those to be locked and question the intent behind those actions.
