- receive them as a gift
- had them before they qualified for benefits
- working under the table

You earned it - your tax contributions far exceeded the amount you pulled out from unemployment / food stamps.

During WW2 the US military disqualified so many recruits/draftees because they had severe nutritional deficiencies. Poor people need to have adequate nutrition because they fight most wars. God forbid we throw them a bone.

Jokers buying 35 dollar steaks are the exception to the rule. Most snap users are not dumb enough to spend 35 dollars on a piece of steak and starve the rest of the month. Its unfair to say that we should reduce spending for everyone because of the actions of a few.

Limiting food choices might be smart only when we are absolutely sure what foods are healthy and which are not. Nothing on Trumps list is healthy besides the veggies and that could backfire and make the problem worse.
