I watch intermittently, a few random games a year on TV. I also watch european club soccer. I feel like MLS quality is definitely improving. But I think the problem is that kids don't play soccer for fun. Honestly at the park/street is where you develop your instincts and skills, not organized soccer. Im not talking about once in a while, I'm talking about kids getting together regularly to play. Can you name an NBA player who never played basketball at the park growing up? Probably none. Thats why the huge talent gap will exist between US and everyone else. You can just tell in their style of play, MLS is very structured, fundamental, they are significantly lacking in technical skill.
Like I grew up playing basketball every weekend at the local park, ended up playing will all kinds of people, other kids, adults, drug dealers, college kids, college players, etc. I can say with confidence I'm better at basketball than most people who only grew up playing organized basketball. Not to mention they are amazed at my street ball moves. I guess the point of bringing in european stars is to try and influence the current youth to get into soccer. But its just the culture of this country that makes it very difficult. --- literally the jags ... Copied to Clipboard!

Might be interesting to watch then. I don't know why, but I never watched any soccer beyond the world cup even though it's one of my more favorite sports.

I think Orlando has the potential to be really good this year with Kljestan, Meram, and Dwyer up front. If they don't make the playoffs with their roster, Kreis has to go.
