There's a sale on Steam that comes with God Eater 1 + 2 for $12 and was wondering if anyone has played it

I never played monster hunter but I played the demo for Toukesten(?), that other monster hunter clone and i didn't really like it

God Eater looks more fun tho

The story is extremely bad, and characters are stupid. The gameplay is worse than Toukiden 2's IMO, so there's also that if you didn't enjoy it. The saving grace is that there is A LOT of stuff to do in it if you just want something to sink time into

I love it. I think it's one of the better Monster Hunter clones.

I only played the first one.

It is a more fast and fluid Monster Hunter, but it is not as fun or rewarding. The character designs are really some of the absolute worst you might ever see, the story can't fixate on a proper tone, the world doesnt seem to work with how the story dictates, and the item customization is really stupid.

i bought the games at separate times, listed as 80+ hour games to complete. at this point it's not an option to start for a long time.

I was interested in it before but I have MHW now so it seems pointless to buy. Especially while MHW is so new

That was my main problem with MH and the Toukesten clone, they played too slow and was too grind heavy

This game looks more exciting, plus waifus

God Eater does have a much faster pace than Monster Hunter and plenty of solid Waifus. Still a bit of a grind, but not that bad.

I'd say give it a shot.

Anything faster than the twinblades on MH is unnecessary.

Cool yeah ill get it and if anyone cares I'll write out my opinion starting with the first one

I'm tempted to buy .hack as well but I'll prolly wait till it's lowered in price

Playing the first one, so far liking the combat and story more than MH, the scyth weapons are badass

Gotta juggle this with Pirate Warriros 3 and Burning Blood I also got on the sale, still playing DBZfighterZ too
