21 y/o Heifer, Belen Aldescosea from Florida FLUSHED her live HAMSTER down the TOILET because she claims Spirit Airlines told her she couldn't fly it back home and now she's SUING them for causing "emotional distress" which ironically was an "emotional support" hamster!!

She said she didn't "have any options" but to kill her pet Pebbles rather than miss her flight back to Fort Lauderdale after stff informed her that rodents weren't allowed on board.

She's called the cheap airline twice to check if she's allowed to bring the "medically certified" emotional support animal, a pet dwarft hamster on the flight home from college in Baltimore

She said she was assured that her furry companion was fine to fly but when she arrived they said No to Pebbles.

Belen accepted a later flight on Spirit to figure out what to do and contacted six rental car agencieds to try and hire a car but there were no cars available and a Greyhound bus would have taken too long.

All her friends were away and was left with no options..and out of panic, she claims a staff member suggested she let Pebbles go free outside or FLUSH it down the toilet!!

She decided she didn't want the hamster to go free where it would "freeze" or "starve" so she flushed it..

She said "She was scared. I was scared. It was horrifying trying to put her in the toilet. I was emotional. I was crying. I sat there for a good 10 minute crying in the stall"

Now she wants to sue Spirit, blaming them for pressuring her to kil the animal but Spirit denies that a staff member ever advised the volleyball star to kill her pet but did concede a staff member suggested mistakenly said she could bring the pet.

They've offered a free voucher for certain flights and cities to her but PETA has since condemned the act as cruel and illegal as Senior Vice President Daphna Nachimonvich said "One phone call could have saved this animal, or some kind of person at the airport could have helped. Flushing a living being down toilet is not only cruel but illegal and both the person who killed this animal and Spirit Airlines, if an employee in fact did advise this, should be ccharged. This must have been a horrific, terrifying death"

Her doctor approved her hamster as a certified emotional suppot animal and had the certificate to prove it.

Umm yes. She killed her pet that she should have just left with a friend or family member, or a damn pet sitter.

If someone else is told that they can't take their supposed service animal somewhere, they don't run it over or shoot it.

This lady doesn't sound responsible enough for a stuffed toy.

Didn't even try to give it to somebody? I don't even like small animals but if I was leaving the airport and some girl came up to me and said "I can't take this hamster on the plane with me, please take him and take care of him!" then I'd have a pet hamster. No big.

If her pet really meant something to her she would have made a bigger issue out of this, demanded to speak with a higher up since she was approved, and would have had proof in hand should they have gave her shit.

Her flushing that poor animal down the toliet was not only cruel and unusual but its clear she gave no real fucks about Pebbles.

A real pet owner would have never killed their pet like this nor would they just cave like a little bitch when told nah you cant fly with it.
