When Sega bought Atlus I thought we were getting it for sure. They would've had to remake the game from the ground up, but that might've been for the best: optimize the graphics for 3DS, finally dub the voices in English... if making a profit is a concern, just charge the Atlus tax ($49.99 for the vanilla game at launch) and do multiple special editions with soundtrack CDs and mini-plushes and junk in them for like $69.99 and $99.99. The hardcore fans would have subsidized this one, I know I would've sprung for one of the special editions.

Of all the pointless and recent games that have gotten remade in the last 5 years, I am shocked that Sega hasn't gotten in on this action more. They did re-release Guardian Heroes, which was great, but people would eat up the Panzer Dragoon and Shining Force games. Just look at how much people are willing to pay for those games - especially the Saturn games. I am really surprised Sega hasn't bothered trying to get a piece of that.

Game has aged really really badly. Had fond memories of it from back then but when I played it like 4 or 5 years ago, it was rough.

Can't imagine porting their Saturn classics to Steam would be too expensive. They've already done it with Nights, as well as a number of Dreamcast games.
