I think Sandman was quality. Topher Grace as Venom was about as godawful as Jesse Eisenberg in Batman vs Superman as a villain.

Also, "bad boy" spidey was so fuckin cringeworthy it basically ruined the film.

I hated it when I first saw it in theaters but it really grew on me. I like it now. THe sandman in the sewer fight is probably the best action set piece in the trilogy.

Certainly not perfect, but it looks really good compared to the failed Marc Webb movies.

I think some things could have worked if they just changed a few things.

That pumpkin bomb should have killed Harry. Peter could see how far this suit has changed him and he tries to get rid of it there.

A do something with the Sandman. Spider -Man you literally caused a innocentish guys deaths because the actions of Sandman. Sandman is a criminal who tried to kill you and beat up cops. Do something.

And take out the other guy wearing a black suit .

Shoe horning Venom into the last 20 minutes was a slap in the face to viewers

I hated Sandman in that movie.
Every villain in that trilogy just had to be a tragic character with some personal ties to Peter. They literally had New Goblin for that. But no, the guy famous for being all about The Big Score was actually partly responsible for uncle Ben's death and he did it all for his poow wittwe sick daughter.
Venom doesn't even exist for me.
