I definitely understand it's tough. I'm shy by nature and introducing myself makes me uncomfortable. I force myself into situations. I'm nice. I make a lot of friends. I get laid occasionally. The guys there are toxic and just yell I sit on my computer all day and talk shit. Women hate me.

Yeah, it's real easy to "miss the boat" too. The experience gained in your teens and early twenties is completely invaluable and will largely shape your success with women for the rest of your life. The longer you go without being in the game, the more out of touch you become and the less likely it is that you will ever be able to play.

You really need to know what you're doing out there. Awkwardness and inexperience is for middle school and maybe the first couple years of high school. Some guys luck out and still manage to find a woman that's a bit more forgiving and will let you slip up a bit and be awkward sometimes. I'm currently seeing one that's like that. If we ever break up I don't think I'll ever be able to go on another date again.

I went a long, long time with nothing though because all the women I went for (just average girls, no real hotties) were super cutthroat and ruthless. You basically had to have perfect style and perfect game to even get a date out of them. If you made one simple mistake (like texted "wrong" or something) they would just shut it down immediately and ghost you. Completely write you out of their life, even as friends. That's rough.

I think incels lack those certain social genes. Like, they can't read a room/body signals. Have a hard time determining subtleties in someones speech that is either inviting or isn't.

It's tough, as getting and honing those skills does take time, but more importantly, it takes a basic understanding/function if it. Some of us have that, some of us don't.

As for the more aggressive incels/nice-guys, i think they're just bitter and shitty people.

I just never learned the social skills needed to befriend/date people. I was basically kept as a prisoner in my home by my dad, I did go to school but I was bullied and an outcast. I didn't really start interacting with people until my 20's and that's when I realized how terrifying it is to interact with people. I was diagnosed with social anxiety and depression, but medication doesn't give social skills or help get a girlfriend.
God, I hate myself so much. I don't understand how someone can manage to become this pathetic... yet I've managed somehow.

Incels as are group online are not just lonely people ( even if that how it started ) at least on twitter the group just didn't like women. For example this guy made a post saying that he got happy when he heard a story about a women losing one of her family members. Note this wasn't someone who harmed him (not that it would make that reaction right), but it was just some random girl at the checkout line. And this post had a ton of up votes.

see I guess I just don't agree with saying all incels do this. so maybe there is a bad incel community on reddit. but that doesn't mean they get to represent everyone. it just looks stupid to me when people say that incels are bad people. not all incels are the same. I have never heard that term used to describe anyone but that group. Most people who are "involuntarily celibate" don't use such Cringey terms to talk about themselves. You guys seem to be going really far out of your way to try and ignore the content and defend the label.
