Anyone have tips on avoiding Nergigante's "super dive"? I think he hit me with 100% of those during my battle.

When his spikes all turn black he's gonna use it soon so put your weapon away and prepare to panic dive.

His tell are when his spikes are all black and he roars while up on his hind legs. Superman dive.

I would never actually farm for a gem. Just wait a week and do the limited weekly bounties and buy your gem that way.

Gem farming is the road to insanity.

Go to your bounties, and push R1 twice to get to limited bounties. They reset every friday. If you do all of these, you get a gold wyvern ticket. You trade that in to the medling pot woman (you have to be far enough in story to unlock melding pot), and you can meld a gem of your choice. So basically, one free gem a week if you can do all those bounties.

I honestly totally forgot about Melding and didn't understand how it works when I looked at it anyway

Well the only gem that took me long to get was just 15ish tries for Teostra but then I got like 3 back to back

I'm like 200 hours in but I mostly spend time helping my friends who haven't played as much as me. The HR100 quest scares me, but I have managed to solo a Tempered Elder Dragon in under 14 minutes so maybe it wouldn't be too bad.

Tempered Kirin is straight up the most difficult fight in the whole game.

Nice, same here but replace GS with Charge Blade. Were you using a Palico with the Coral Orchestra? Those resist Stun/Paralysis songs saved my ass. I wish I knew about the Thunderproof mantle before my attempt.

Nah, I still use the vigorwasp item because it's proven so useful to me so far. How I did it was alternate between the thunderproof and vitality mantels while taking potshots at his head. Full ingot set with thunder resistance jewels as well.

But I still got paralyzed once and then he comboed me to death.

I was able to beat non-tempered tonight after switching it up to the bow and boosting resistance as much as I could. I didn't cart but it took a long time tho lol.

anyone got some spicy hunting horn tips for diablos, I tried to fight a black diablos solo and it was really annoying <_< so are the ones that move/fly around alot too, I do great against the others but these ones make me cry and I have to do them with other people and basically try to make it look like I'm doing something

I finished the tempered Kirin quest last night and hit HR 63.

Took me two tries. I switched to the Bow and played defensively. Took almost the whole quest time because idk how to Bow good lol

Is it true that the Arena quest monsters always have the scaled health boost as if you were playing co-op? I thought my times sucked because I did too(with fixed sets anyway <_<).

I mostly stopped playing because I picked up 4U since it was on sale a week ago. 3U and Generations were also on sale, but I would've needed a better SD card to hold all three plus all the other stuff on there. It's so weird using the Charge Blade in it when World is the only iteration of the weapon I know.

Also for anyone who cares the event quest that has you collecting mushrooms is pretty good for farming Tempered Lv. 1 and 2 tracks.

I still play, but I'm kind of avoiding grinding tempered Kirin.

The beta set looks so good though...

I got the Rocksteady Mantle and got my Nergi time down to about 6 minutes (Gunlance). Not good by speedrun standards but pretty OK for me.
