Pow Pow Punishment 01/23/18 7:18:01 PM #11:	The Kurds (Peshmerga in Iraq and YPG/YPG in Syria) and the US for providing air strikes in support of them. Later on there was a wider coalition against ISIS with Arabs combining with Kurdish forces to form the SDF and the Russians coming to aid Assad, but early on the Kurds alone were the single most effective fighting force because unlike the Iraqis who were completely overran they believed in their cause just as much as ISIS did in theirs. The attack on Raqqa was being talked about for years. Also, the US strategy under Trump has now invoked Turkey to attack the Kurds in Afrin because of the US plan to build a border army.
