Camping = sitting in a corner, staring at a likely enemy entrance, and relying purely on reaction time. Playing defensively = finding a vantage point over an important objective/choke point and locking it down to prevent enemies from capturing or advancing. It's typically not a corner, it has strategic value, and there is an escape route should they get overwhelmed. Playing defensively can be fun.
