Also if you are a fan of football or combat sports....stfu about hunting. You literally watch people destroy each other for money

1) For money
2) People who signed up for it
3) People who are equal competitors in a sport with rules

Yeah comparing a boxer fighting a boxing match with a deer who just got killed makes sense :/

A deer that will feed a family....

Youre paying to watch people get brain damage...you're not allowed to talk

Go compare hunting to killing dogs

Yeah, these people in the video totally look like folks that live off the land. This little girl won't be having Flinstones cereal tonight, no way, she will be biting into a piece of deer jerky or a boar spleen soup.

Again...you watch people get brain damage and life threatening injuries for fun

You cant talk

But they CHOSE it. they knew what they were getting into, and they consented to it anyway. They got paid to do it too, and they were trying to give brain damage to the other guy too.

The deer didn't choose to get killed, nor was it trying to kill you. And his "reward' is to have some weak ass 10 year old child from a different species celebrate over his dead carcass.

Yeah because people pay money to see it. You make the choice to watch it. You're a barbaric person smh

Deer population, through out america, is something that needs help to be controlled.

This isn't cruel, it's vital to maintain a balanced eco-system.

Read up on what happens when you have a ridiculously high deer population.

The earlier you teach a child the basics of being in the wilderness and hunting your own food, the better, I think. Not to mention it can be a beautiful bonding experience between a father and son/daughter. Some of my best childhood memories are from hunting with my dad.

Her reaction is just buck fever; it's pure adrenaline. I still get amped up when I see a buck, and I've been hunting for 16 years.

What's the downside to teaching at 9? You're teaching them life skills, it's bonding with their children/parent and teaching them gun discipline as well.

Again, what's the difference between 9 and 16?

I'm taking my 9 year old out hunting with me this year. I already got her into guns and shooting at a young age. If she is half as pumped as this about hunting I will be happy

You act as if she can grow up killing furry living (and bleeding) things that did nothing wrong to her and getting a rush from it and she will somehow never ever think that shooting people is the same.

Arent humans just thinking animals, but less cute and furry?

What tells you she wont find a vulnerable group (eg. homeless, foreigners, etc) and try to do the same eventually?

There is a reason why some ultra-gory movies are teen only or 17+ or 18+ only. Childrens minds are still forming.

But by all means, take your 9 year old on a killing tour. Dont be surprised if she shoots some teenage boy because he invited her to prom and then stood her up.

Lmao yiiiiikes.

The funniest thing about posts like these is how mentally unstable you end up sounding.

it's kinda funny tbh, the people who are the most vocal about how this will end up with her killing humans, are the people i would assume who would do those things. i mean all those thoughts have to come from somewhere in those people's brains right?

Yep, all of this

I honestly think part of the problem is these guys never really bonded with their dad over anything and they dont understand the importance of something like this

They lash out at this girl and her dad because of low self esteem and to feel better about their mundane lives

The only controversial part here is possibly making a child that young hunt. Teaching kids hunting is fine, but at which age do you draw the line? At which age is it ok to give them a weapon only meant to kill?

Who said anything about being brave?

Since we're there, though, neither does trash talking a father and his daughter behind a computer monitor. But your obsession with being brave and calling people pussies is really telling of your personality. Almost like I sense a hint of projection.

Dude, stop acting like an armchair psychiatrist and throwing out the usual message board jargon.

I simply saw the father block comments from "liberal tree hugging types" and thought it was funny that he didn't bother to refute anything they "might have said". It's not like his kids were gonna scour the comments section anyways.

I understand that hunting deer helps keep the population in check, but I can't help but feel sad. Ending the life of an animal on purpose would mentally wreck me.

There's nothing wrong with that. And it's understandable.

What is wrong is judging people for it. Teaching her to hunt is almost no different than taking her fishing--a life is taken that you purposfully want to take either for food or sport. Unless you want to argue that a fish's life is more valuable than a deer's.

People who are acting like she will become some serial killer are being dramatic and naive. You likely come across hundreds of people every day that started out hunting at a young age and aren't some nutjobs thirsty for blood.

I agree. I think the only thing noteworthy about the video is her over-enthusiastic behavior. That is probably what is in question.

If you've never been hunting, it's honestly difficult to describe. Grown men get this type of enthusiasm from hunting, as well; it's just not as pronounced. She's young; she has no clue how adrenaline affects her body.

It is a crazy feeling, and it's a good feeling, but that doesn't make someone cruel.

The most miserable feeling, on the flip side, is wounding a deer and not being able to find it. I don't like animals to suffer.
