Texas could not fund the rest of the red states on their own. And seeing as how red states are the ones that receive the most government aid and subsidies and blue states are the ones that produce the most money, you'd be in for a rough ride. In reality blue cities hold the majority of the american gdp and red cities benefit the most from subsidies. its almost never the other way around.
