I knew the term, but I didn't know exactly what it was.

I was in hospitals for a good percentage of my pre-adult life. So I am a very anxious person because I had to have so many surgeries growing up and added anxiety because I wasn't able to be social very much so social situations make me anxious.

Learning what anxiety exactly is changed my life because I realized that I'm an anxious wreck lol.

Did you change anything, or was just saying to yourself "that's just the anxiety" work?

Around that time is around the time when I didn't have to have so much surgeries, so it was just social anxiety for a while but that's gotten better.

I'm not as anxious as I used to be now that I've got my life together.

Totally know what you mean

When I was 14 I started having a lot of trouble falling asleep or staying asleep. This went on for years and years. Wasnt uncommon for me to go to school or work having gotten no sleep at all and being awake for 24-30 hours was not uncommon and almost a weekly occurrence.

Fast forward to my early 30s and I get diagnosed with a panic disorder and prescribed an SSRI. Now Im able to sleep soundly and promptly fall asleep whenever Im tired and want rest. I feel great and I never realized that my insomnia was fueled by my anxiety.
