Yesterday was like -32C with a real feel of -47. I had to get gas and I couldn't even feel my hands after the two minutes or so I spent pumping it.

After like a week of the same it's supposed to get back to -1C tomorrow and 2C by Thursday. Random AF winter weather here, always.

The temperature alone isn't the important part, the wind chill is what fucks me.

For example I'd rather go out in a dry, stagnant 15 degrees than go out in a 30 degree day with 20mph winds.

Depends on what you mean. If you have to go outside, you have to go outside.

For the point at which I would cancel optional outside activities (when not winter), that's like 49F.

For the point at which I would postpone or work around obligational activities, that's like 19F.

Considering I'm a caffeine junky and my body probably doesn't regulate its temperature very well as a result, I can barely tolerate 20 F. It's 16 F at the moment and I'm bundled up in 3 layers of clothing despite being in a heated indoor environment.

Compared to other posters in this thread, I guess the weather in my region isn't that bad. At worst, it's going to hit 2 F in the later AM hours tonight, and that's the lowest temp I'm going to see all week.

The arctic air should pass within the next several days, and things will start to warm up again around January 7th or 8th.
