I dunno. The only time I ever tried cigars was when I was with a group of fellow teenagers trying to show off how hardcore we were so of course we inhaled. It wasn't unpleasant or too harsh IIRC.

I'm no cigar expert, but you can if you want to. People don't so they can enjoy the taste of the cigar which can be very nice.

You don't need to inhale cigar smoke for the nicotine to have an effect. With that said, there's really no reason not to inhale. None that matter, anyway.

- there is a lot more tobacco in a cigar than a cigarette and there is no filter on a cigar like a cigarette has. so not only are you smoking a super powered cigarette when you smoke a cigar, but you're also taking in lots more nicotine and stuff like that.

- it's easy to get sick from cigar smoke if you inhale it

- most people smoke cigars for the taste/experience so there's no reason to inhale

I dont know the scientific specifics behind it, but cigar smoke is much more harsh on your lungs than cigarette smoke.

Im not a regular cigar smoker, but I smoked one once and felt like I had taken 3 or 4 shots of liquor when I was done. (Didnt even inhale to feel this effect) The effect lasted around an hour, unlike a cigarette buzz which lasts about a minute or less your first few times smoking them (you have to inhale to feel anything from a cigarette). So something is definitely chemically different, or at least in higher concentrations.

It'll make your stomach hurt and probably give you headaches if you inhale too much, and you're already going to inhale some by default even if you're not trying to inhale. So it's best not to purposely inhale or at least not often.

I smoke cigarettes. Cigarettes contain FAR less tobacco, and are typically filtered (unless you roll your own, though if you roll your own without a filter it tends on average to have less tobacco than a brand-name cigarette unless you're rolling huge cigarettes). Cigarettes have a much tighter draw than cigars, meaning they produce a lot less smoke.

Cigars are 100% tobacco. It probably has the diameter of four to six cigarettes (depending on the type of cigar), all stuffed with tobacco. The wrapping... is tobacco leaves.

Because of the increased diameter, you're drawing a LOT more smoke through that thing than you would a cigarette, and it's not filtered at all, and there's more oil from the tobacco than you'd ever get in a cigarette (if you got any from a cigarette).

Anyway long story short if you inhale cigar smoke you're gonna choke, pretty hard. It's like getting punched. To me honestly it was worse than the gas chamber in boot camp as far as affecting my ability to breathe.

You can *maybe* get used to it, but because cigars are so much tobacco and they're not filtered at all you'd totally wreck your lungs pretty quickly if you were to smoke it regularly and inhale.
