Dunno. Last time I remember believing in Santa Claus, I asked for a Game Boy for Christmas and never got one. I think that was the last time I sat on his lap or asked him for anything.

6. A series of events starting with my alcoholic father losing his job led to some church charity giving my family and another poor family we shared a duplex with a full Christmas, covering everything from dinner to clothes to toys complete with Santa and his elves making a very special visit to deliver it all because someone told him that we were very special families.

The next morning, my mom had a local news program on and they did a piece on the church doing that for a lot of families in the area. I asked her how Santa did that and she said it was a lot of Santa's helpers. I bought it for a while but the more I thought about it the less sense it made until it dawned on me that none of it is real.

Stilll super grateful for all of that though. One of the highlights of my childhood and the reason why even as a non-Christian I love the holiday and volunteer with or donate to similar things. I tried to find that church and make a donation or volunteer with them but it's not around anymore.

4 or 5. There was a neighbor that would drive around in a santa outfit and talk to all the neighborhood kids. But I recognized him. My parents were adamant he was santa. Not santas heper or anything, but santa. The knew Mr. Wilkerson was not santa so I realized I was being lied too.

It was cool, though, he had a sleight towed by his truck. Might have had reindeer decals in the side but that part I could be making up.

10. My older siblings told me. Parents still game me Santa gifts for another year. My mom told me to not tell kids at school. I remember being 13 and some kids still believed. But i remember a kid being 14 in 8th or 9th grade and he still believed in Santa so naturally everyone made fun of him.

Chris Chan said he was told Santa isnt real at 16 but gave up hope Completely at 24 because he hadnt brought him a girlfriend for the third year in a row. There is a video of his family Christmas in 2004 where he gave his dad a Fraggle Rock VHS, his mom a Hamtaro toy he got for cheap because it was broken and in the video he says he spent most of his money on presents for the girlfriend Santa was meant to bring him

I never believed in him. There were too many different depictions for me to buy into him as a real person. He was on TV and then he was in the mall later the same day looking like someone else completely. I remember thinking the other kids must be crying because they realize he's just some creepy old guy too.

I always knew that Santa Claus was a mythical figure originating from a Turkish priest named Saint Nicholas and that his gift giving services were combined with the Winter Solstice to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Just another post-modern secularism to mar unbelievers with capitalist qusai-religious lies.

Don't ever remember believing he was. Probably because of my older sisters telling me, or my foreign parents just not playing along with the tradition.

It was like a week before Christmas and I asked my mom if he was real when she was trying to fall asleep until she grudgingly said "no."

Then I ran to my older sisters' to tell them and they were like "yeah, duh".

Then at school I was telling all sorts of people really loudly and arguing with them until my teacher had to pull me away and say something.
