Why should ISPs be forced to provide access to the same number of sites and services for all their plans? If you pay more you should be entitled for more. Is it just poor people who are upset that they will now have to upgrade their plans if they want to continue to have access to Netflix and Pornhub?

It's a free market.

I would personally like the internet to remain neutral, but I don't think the federal government should be allowed to force net neutrality. Also, I'd like to see any city/local laws that were passed to protect the established ISPs by making it cost prohibitive for competitors to enter the space to be repeal. And any politicians who accepted donations to pass those laws should be kicked out of office.

So your solution is to rob power of the american people and transfer that power to cable companies? Even a simple data cap for internet hogs would preserve internet freedom. Blaming netflix and porn is a smokescreen. Eliminating Net Neutrality gives more power to cable companies at the expense of the average american. Whose country is this again?

Cable companies are good. If you don't like cable it's a personal problem and you are in the minority

I love cable! Great customer service!

More power to cable companies is good. Better them then average citizens

Even playing devil's advocate for a second

Why does it have to result in prices increasing? Why can't the people who use the most bandwidth keep their current rate, and just drop the rate for those who don't use much? Same principle, right?

From what I understand, things are merely going back to the way they were before 2015 and it's going to have little effect on my life.

I feel sorry for the people who are going to be affected by this but I don't sympathize with the more extreme reactions....like the ones involving endorsements of violent retribution.

The extremes are pretty silly. Just go out and vote for people who have a similar ideology to you.

The doomsday scenarios are also pretty silly. I just think its a bad precedent and I dont think the government should be putting the interests of businesses before its citizens.

Is that not what already happens though? If I use a lot, I go for a 100Mb or greater package and pay more. If I don't, I go for a cheaper, lower bandwidth package.

If there's a cap, then I guess they could reimburse you for whatever data you don't use, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I think they can already do that though.
